BodyMind Life Skills - May and October 2020 Wilmslow, UK

There will be two opportunities in 2020 to study BodyMind Life Skills, which combine Somato-Respiratory Integration with some of the work of Virginia Satir. Taught by Anastasia Metcalf and put together in a unique way, you will leave with skills that can be instantly integrated into daily life and practice.

BodyMind Life Skills Intensive- Using Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI) and Satir Model to Grow and Become Whole. 

BodyMind Life Skills are a set of tools that everyone should have to manage change and feel successful living your life. They use the resources which are inside you, always available, and free. There are two key components that will be taught on this intensive – Somato-Respiratory Integration (SRI) and elements of the Satir Model.

Somato-Respiratory Integration (SRI) provides a structured way to access your inner resources and use them to increase resilience and adaptability in everyday life. Harness the power of your own neurology and natural abilities with these simple tools.

The Satir Model offers insights into our daily life, our habits, actions and reactions. Some of the building blocks of the Satir model are particularly helpful when understanding the patterns and rhythms of change. With more understanding comes more awareness and ability to be at choice.

These two models have been woven together in a complimentary fashion to enhance our understanding of the human experience and how we can grow, cope better, be more at choice and enjoy life more.

This intensive workshop is designed for everyone, and its components can be used as stand-alone tools or can be used to support other body mind practices.

What can you expect from the intensive?

  • Know how it feels to resolve something completely, and what you need to do to get there

Two Training Tracks

Personal Development Track, 4 Days £600

This is designed for anyone who wants to gain more peace and a sense of mastery in their own life. It will last 4 days, starting on the 2nd day of the 5 Day Intensive.

May 29th-June 4th: Experiental Learning Days
Oct 2nd - 5th: Experiental Learning Days

Professional / Facilitator Track, 5 Days, £750

 This starts on day 1 with a day of instruction about how to use these skills with others productively and safely. This group will then combine with the Personal Growth Track for the remainder of the seminar. At the end of each subsequent day there will be a period of debrief with a professional focus to the days experiential activities, to reflect and deepen learnings, to enable you to take this work out into the world.

The Professional track is open to anyone who is in a helping profession or who would like to explore teaching others these skills.

May 29th-June 4th: Experiental Learing Days, with 1 hour Facilitator training at the end of each day

Oct 1st: Faciliator Only Day
Oct 2nd - 5th: Experiental Learing Days, with 1 hour Facilitator training at the end of each day

The seminars will be held in Naturally Empowered (address below). Joining instructions will be sent out nearer the time. Seminars start at 9am, and will run to 5/6pm in the evening depending on which Track you follow.
