Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month?

Having worked with literally thousands of people who have stress in their body, I am always surprised when I ask people - are you stressed? A big chunk of people say, oh no I'm not stressed, I'm just here to get my back pain sorted or to improve my sleep. 

What is the definition of stress? 

1.    pressure or tension exerted on a material object.
2.    a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.

What is your definition of stress? 

Many people don't have a very realistic answer for this. We often have an image of a stressed out person, who is a bit all over the place and can't make decisions. Stress could show up ass this but it is so much more. 

Over the next few weeks I will explore what stress is and what you can do about reducing the effects of stress on your body and even how you could use stress as an opportunity.
